Game 53: Pistons at Cavs

DETROIT PISTONS (20-33) 103, CAVS (8-45) 94
at Quicken Loans Arena
RADIO/TV: WTAM/Fox Sports Ohio

WHAT HAPPENED: Guaranteed win night went belly up.

Despite playing so well in the previous four games and coming oh-so-close to snapping their woeful losing streak, the Cavs were embarrassed by the Pistons on Wednesday.

The Pistons are 7-21 on the road this season. They've lost seven of the last nine games to the Cavs. They played a tough game against the Spurs on Tuesday.

Again, none of that mattered. The Cavs reverted to their ugly habits and once again lost. They've dropped 26 in a row, which ties the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the longest losing streak in pro sports history.

The Cavs have also lost 36 of their last 37 games.

Coach Byron Scott sometimes gets criticized for his lack of emotion on the sideline. Often times, he stands there with his arms crossed.

He was fighting mad after Wednesday's game. He said he's "mad as hell." We'll see if the players are running suicide sprints in practice on Thursday.
