Game 54: Clippers at Cavs

CAVS (9-45) 126, LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (20-33) 119 (OT)
at Quicken Loans Arena
RADIO/TV: WTAM/Fox Sports Ohio

WHAT HAPPENED: The Cavs welcomed back guard Mo Williams, who has missed the previous 13 games with a strained hip flexor. Expect him to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Washington.

Even though other players had big nights, Williams might have been the difference in the game. His dribble penetration hurt the Clippers. He dished out 14 assists.

His scoring and take-charge nature has been missed. Of course, the Cavs lost all 13 games that he missed.

Ramon Sessions, who has been playing fabulous basketball in his absence, seemed to go into a shell with Williams back on the court. You hardly realized Sessions even played.

The Cavs snapped 26-game losing streak - finally - because they played with fire and rode the hot hands of Antawn Jamison (35 points) and J.J. Hickson (27 points).

Clippers forward Blake Griffin was as good as advertised with 32 points.

He's become a national media darling with his monster dunks. But he's legit, as evidenced by his 12.6 rebounds per game, third in the NBA.

It's not known whether forward/center Leon Powe will be available. He said he thinks he'll be available to play on Sunday against the Wizards. He's missed the last month after having knee surgery to repair his meniscus.

The Clippers were without their leading scorer, guard Eric Gordon, who has a sprained right wrist. However, he wasn't on their inactive list.
