Game 57: Rockets at Cavs

HOUSTON ROCKETS (28-31) 124, CAVS (10-47) 119
at Quicken Loans Arena
RADIO/TV: WTAM/Fox Sports Ohio

WHAT HAPPENED: The Cavs had won two of their previous three games. That was before they failed to compete on the boards against the Rockets on Wednesday.

It's not often you see a team get outrebounded by 20 on the glass. That was the case on Wednesday when the Cavs were outrebounded, 57-37. It was really bad on the offensive glass, 22-7.

Forward Chuck Hayes looked like Elvin Hayes against the Cavs. He had 12 points, 17 rebounds and 13 offensive rebounds. If J.J. Hickson had shown up ready to compete on the boards, things could have been different.

I really think the Cavs need to make a deal by today's deadline. This team needs to be shaken up just a bit. One person said he thought there was a 50-50 chance of a deal by the deadline.

There seemed to be some activity after the game involving the Cavs. I'm hoping GM Chris Grant has something to report Thursday afternoon when he's scheduled to meet with the media around 4 p.m. at Cleveland Clinic Courts.

My guess is that they do something by the deadline.
