Game 55: Bobcats at Cavs

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (19-36) 103, CHARLOTTE BOBCATS (7-49) 90
Quicken Loans Arena
Tuesday
Radio/TV: WTAM/Fox Sports Ohio

WHAT HAPPENED: The Bobcats couldn't slow down Lester Hudson in the fourth quarter. The Cavs ripped through the Bobcats in the final quarter, 31-19, to leave them in the dust.

Hudson had 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists. He's averaging 24.7 points in his last three games. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has appeared in seven games for the Cavs this season, averaging 14.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 25.5 minutes per game.

He's really making a name for himself. I truly believe he should be brought back next season.

Hudson, 27, is not a great defender and he's not a high-percentage shooter, but he can score.

I was really impressed with Anthony Parker's game. He had 19 points, two rebounds and two steals. In his last two games, he's averaged 23 points.

AP returned to the lineup on Tuesday after a two-game absence with a bruised sternum.

Little-used center Semih Erden ended up playing 16 minutes for the Cavs. He pulled down seven rebounds and blocked a shot. Coach Byron Scott tried forward/center Samardo Samuels first. When he didn’t get what he wanted from Samuels, he went further down the bench to the 7-foot Erden.

Tuesday’s game was the first in a stretch of seven games in nine days. The last time the Cavs had seven games in nine days was from April 6-14, 1999. The was the last lockout year in the NBA. The end of the stretch is the back-to-back-to-back games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

UP NEXT: The Cavs host Indiana at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
