Game 62: Knicks at Cavs

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (21-41) 98, NEW YORK KNICKS (33-30) 90
Quicken Loans Arena
Friday
Radio/TV: WTAM (1100 AM)/Fox Sports Ohio

WHAT HAPPENED: Someone please explain why the Cavs have such success over the Knicks at home? It just doesn't make sense.

All they have to do is show up and beat the Knicks, who haven't won at The Q since Nov. 29, 2006 - a streak of 10 consecutive games.

The Cavs played with such energy on Friday. If they play like that, they've shown they can beat almost anyone.

Of course, they can play like that on Sunday and still lose by 10 points to San Antonio.

Guard Manny Harris was a joy to watch on Friday. It was his best game of the season - by far - with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two assists.

He was very active on defense. He got his hands on a lot of balls and just pounded the defensive boards.

Of course, having Kyrie Irving back is magical for the Cavs. They feel they can compete with him in the lineup. He had 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. He made 6 of 15 from the field.

If the Cavs can surround him with some talent, the Cavs are going to be very good next year.

The Cavs and Knicks tied the season series, 2-2. Knicks coach Mike Woodson is now 15-6 since taking over for Mike D'Antoni. He is making a serious claim for the job full-time.

Forward Alonzo Gee (sprained left ankle) missed his third consecutive game. Coach Byron Scott finally pulled the plug on Luke Walton, who got a DNP-CD.

UP NEXT: The Cavs travel to San Antonio at 7 p.m. Sunday at AT&T Center.
